My first tenor was a Selmer mk7 tenor which i used when i was cruising on the boats so it got i bit rusted later on.i played a mk6 which got its sound thinned out by a repair tech when i first came to Los Angeles which inspired me to learn to do horn work myself , i also owned early Selmer balanced actions,a couple of conn 30ms and king super 20, the bell had been delaquered and hand polished though , i can play on anything if necessary but i have my preferences which are Selmer mk6 with or without the fsharp key and conn 10m for vintage jazz work,sba is also a great jazz horn.i am happy with my current horns now and thats a first for a long time
